Hi, I am Dana, a part time natural light photographer from Lexington, KY. I love this part of the country and showcasing its beauty in photos. I am quirky and self-deprecating, and will bring a lot of personality to your session.

I have always loved taking pictures. It started in my childhood with my film and disposable cameras. Those of you that are a little older like me, do you remember how much fun it was to get your film prints back and have no idea what to expect?

I moved on from that to the digital age. But when I had my daughter I realized that I needed a camera that was going to capture faster movement. So, I started taking pictures with a more professional camera and learning manual mode. I took mostly pictures of my daughter and her friends playing volleyball and then went on to capture our family events.

In the summer of 2023 I had a work friend ask me to take their family pictures. I was so flattered and loved it so much that I decided to start officially taking photos part time. I have been in business since August 2023. I could not be more humbled when people contact me to take their pictures.

Why you should hire me? I truly love being part of making memories for my clients. I will work with you to find the perfect location, help to coordinate outfits and colors, and communicate regularly throughout the whole process. I have a very quick turn around time, usually within 1-2 weeks. If you love a vintage style we can add a film roll or two to your session as well.

Worried about how your kids will respond to having their pictures taken? No worries! I work full time as an elementary school counselor, so I am able to connect with kids of all ages. I also always have a few fun things in my car for those sessions.

I am an avid movie and concert goer, book lover, bird enthusiast and I love to eat. I also love spending time with my family and friends when I not working. I am an extrovert, who loves my clients.
